Hospital anti-idling programme

Our hospitals are active in promoting healthy communities, and idling around our hospitals is a major concern.
To reduce idling out front local hospitals, we are working with ambulance and taxi drivers to encourage them to switch-off their engines when stationary.
We have developed a video to show ambulance fleet drivers the negative impacts that their engine idling can have. This video can be used as toolbox talk for fleet drivers and to raise awareness with everyone that visits hospitals.
This programme builds off of the St. Mary’s Hospital anti-idling programme, where all ambulance drivers were trained to minimise idling.
